Most of our creatives find inspiration in music. And they often have it playing when they draw, write, and create. So the job of animating a music video and bringing characters to life in rhythm and melody was…well, hardly a job and more like a dream project.

Boston-based band Static of the Gods enlisted Curiosity Group and music producer Matthew Ellard (who has worked with the likes of Weezer and Radiohead) to collaborate on the video for their single “Peluche.” We approached the song as if it were a soundtrack and created a story and illustration/animation style that were as haunting, dramatic and powerful as the music. The result: a beautiful video that reinforces the mood of the video without over explaining it.
